New Stuff

We moved.  We have a house with a yard and I couldn't be more excited about that.  Except for the fact that someone has to mow it.  And I told Curtis that would be me.  Dang it!  What was I thinking?  Everything is coming together slowly but there is still so much more to unpack and more things to buy.  Kennin's room is close to being done, Grayson and Ezra's room is close as well.  Mine and Curtis' room is getting there.  Our living room and dining room... not so much.  We're trying to decide if we want to purchace new stuff for those two rooms so we're holding off on doing much to them.

Ok, this is the house.  But since I took this picture we removed the dead bush on the far left and we have a new storm door and it's white.  It's a plain little house but it has plenty of room for our family of 5 (6 if you count Tut).

Kennin got a new bed from Gaga this weekend.  It's a full sized bunk bed!  Full on the top and full on the bottom.  We only put a mattress on the top (which is also new) so the bottom was free to create a little hide out.  Since Curtis has the imagination of a kid, he came up with putting rope lights under her bed along with a custom switch so she doesn't have to go all the way to the corner and unplug them from the power strip.  He also put a reading lamp, and a chair under there.  Pretty soon we're going to put her tv back there in the right corner to hide all the cords.  She was beyond thrilled when she saw the whole thing.  Grayson is super jealous.  I figure we'll end up doing something similar for his bed too.

This is what else has been going on... Have you noticed how when you move you find all kinds of random crap?  Like a cardboard cut out of Mini-Me that your best friend stole from the Tomball movie theater?  No, just me?  LOL  That cut out has been everywhere.  We had a moment of Christmas in July with Ezra.  Kennin thinks it's hilarious to do this to him.  Grayson and I became vampires.  And I got a much needed haircut.  It's way too hot and I have way too many kids to have long hair anymore.  Maybe someday I'll have the Kardashian locks I dream of.

And my little toot turned one!  A whole year has passed and I don't have a baby anymore.  He crawls, pulls up on things, walks around while holding onto things, and I've caught him standing up without holding onto anything.  BUT, he still doesn't walk.  If you try to hold onto his hands and help him walk he gets MAD!  He says 'Mama', 'Dada', 'Nana' (well actually he screamed that at my mom once), and 'Bu-bu' for Grayson.  We had his first birthday party last Saturday but I couldn't find my camera.  I'm waiting for Aunt Lesley and Mallory to send me the pictures they took.
